Your Choice

Life is always hard, and it will always get harder. You will have people leave you, you will have people hurt you, and eventually you'll realize that you are the only one that you have in life. No one can do what you do, can think what you think, feel exactly how you feel, or be who you are. You are only as strong as you let yourself be. At some point it might seem that someone has ripped your heart out and everyone sees it, so they continuously beat it until you feel that there is nothing left to beat. But giving up isn't the way. Your decision to give up won't matter to anyone, because it doesn't hurt them, it doesn't change them; they are left unaffected, clean of any misfortune or regret. But you will have to live with your decision, live with what you make for yourself, so why not make it what you want?
You can dwell on the things that have hurt you and regret doing something different at that specific moment, but that won't make it happen. Sometimes it's best to just let things go, including people. One of the hardest things in life is knowing which bridges to burn and which to keep. So, this will be a hard decision, but it's one that you have to make. Whether to forgive or forget.
Making a decision like this doesn't make you a terrible person; everyone does this. And no one has the place to tell you who you need to keep in your life. That is completely your decision, one you must make for yourself; to benefit you, to keep you from falling every time something hits you. This is so that you can live your life, without as much pain and sorrow. Do it to be happy.
